Koh Rong Island is the largest Cambodian resort island off the coast of SihanoukVille.
Beachside bungalows, and virgin forest, hills, and waterfalls inside the jungle. Koh Rong Island is currently 97% undeveloped, however, plans for a massive resort complex, complete with golf courses, and airport, casinos, and the works are taking shape.
We haven't updated this website for a while, but if you want to help, let us know!
Right now, you can visit Koh Rong Island on a day trip, or stay in one of the few dozen beach side bungalows.
Most of the island is unexplored, and covered by dense jungle. (American Survivor is being filmed here this year in the jungle. ) There are several smaller islands surrounding Koh Rong, and you can visit them in a quick boat trip. Scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, exploring, chilling, eating and drinking, and fishing covers most of the activities available on the island.
The trip to Koh Rong Island takes 40 minutes from the mainland, in SihanoukVille, Cambodia. There are a few slow boats around which can get you there in 2 hours. These are generally 2 or 3 story boats, which are more comfortable, but slower.
Island Update: This website, and our other Island websites are not well updated now.... At all. Covid has changed many of the attractions, and there's been a lot of construction on the islands also to upgrade (downgrade?) them.
